If you want to visit the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint, you will find it at 2,701 metres above sea level on the Peyreguils peak, one of the most emblematic in the country.
This large suspended metal sphere, which functions as a sundial, offers a stunning panoramic view of the Tristaina lakes and the Ordino Valley. It is an ideal place to take photographs, admire the landscape and start various hiking trails.
How to get there
During the summer you can easily access it via the Tristaina gondola, which takes you to the La Coma area in about ten minutes. From there, the Creussans chairlift takes between fifteen and twenty minutes to reach the top. The last section is a walk of about fifteen minutes to the viewpoint. You can check all the access details at the following link.
Sunrise at the viewpoint
If you are looking for a different experience, you can take a hike that starts at dawn to reach the top of Solar Viewpoint just as the sun rises. The route passes through the Estany de Creussans and the Port de Creussans, a natural passage between Andorra and France, and culminates with an easy and safe panoramic ridge section to the viewpoint. The activity includes a qualified mountain guide. For more information, see the activity link.
