With an area of 468 km2, only 8% is urbanised land; the remaining 92% is forest, making the country a paradise for nature lovers.

Just like Spain and France, we are in the Central European Time (CET) time zone (GMT +1).
Climate
We enjoy a high mountain climate with Mediterranean influences, a warm summer and a cold winter with relatively heavy snowfall. The average minimum temperature is −2°C, and the maximum is 24°C. Snowfall is frequent, and rains are concentrated mainly between May and October.
Population
The country has a population of 85,101, and the average age is 42 (2023 census).
Currency
The euro was the successor to the Spanish peseta and the French franc, which coexisted until the introduction of the European currency in 2001.
Economy
The Andorran economy is mainly based on trade and tourism, which account for 60% of the overall economy. The third biggest sector in the country is finance.
