The Pal Arinsal ski resort doesn’t just operate in the winter when the cold gives way to the heat, far from closing down, the resort transforms into Pal Arinsal Bike Park, one of southern Europe’s most impressive areas for mountain biking! In fact, it’s chosen by major international mountain bike competitions, who pick our circuit for the high quality of its facilities and equipment. It’s the ideal destination for mountain bike lovers, whether they’re experienced bikers looking to advance their skills or just getting started.
Pal Arinsal Bike Park offers several circuits designed for all difficulty levels. Whatever your level, you can sign up to biking classes at our dedicated downhill school. The team of experienced trainers will be responsible for sharing all technical knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport, while observing our strict health and safety standards at all times.
You can learn to mountain bike from scratch, or you can practice your existing skills and up your mountain biking game, all in great company. The school offers specific programmes and plans designed for children, and both one-to-one and group classes are offered by our special team of experienced biking professionals. The downhill school is ideal for visitors who are just getting started, with practice areas for beginners and dedicated circuits, making learning and practicing easy for those with no previous mountain biking experience whatsoever.
Discover Pal Arinsal Bike Park
The Pal Arinsal Bike Park offers circuits covering all cycling disciplines, from steep downhill runs to family-friendly routes. The facility also includes a cycling school with specialised instructors, as well as areas specially designed for little ones to practice in.
You’ll also find downhill trails that make the most of our ski runs’ slopes and hard ground. Some circuits have even been approved for the Mountain Bike World Cup (DH WorldCup), so you can rest assured, quality and safety are guaranteed!
If you particularly enjoy cross-country mountain biking, we’ve got you covered, too. Our resort is equipped with circuits that run along narrower paths. Enduro is also available, with routes where nearly 80% of the terrain consists of natural paths and trails.
On the other hand, during the winter season, the circuits in the lower part of the resort will be open: Commencal Inferior, Old School, Best World DHI 2019, Wet Tube and Maxiavalanche Inferior. You can ride down a long run of sloped trails. Both in summer and winter, cyclists can use the La Massana gondola to reach La Caubella.
And for the little ones...
Pal Arinsal Bike Park features Bike World, a new area designed for younger riders who want to try their hand at mountain biking and trial biking. Bike World is made up of several specially designed zones: First Wheel, where children can develop their first skills; Ride Challenge, featuring a series of obstacles to safely introduce them to downhill MTB; and Trail Boost, a lift-assisted circuit designed to help riders with basic experience improve their technique.
In addition, young riders can explore Bike Rules, where they learn the basic rules of riding, as well as Green Gravity Descent, a long trail set in the heart of nature for different skill levels. They can also enjoy the Explorers of the Refuge route, an interactive forest adventure guided by the resort’s mascots.
Bike School
For those who want to learn from experts, they can join the courses organised at the Bike School. The classes offered here are private and designed for small groups, ranging from one hour to a full day. In addition, there is the option to rent state-of-the-art equipment from various shops located in the parish of La Massana.
The school introduces children to mountain biking while they enjoy the experience with others their age, under the supervision of specialised instructors who ensure personalised progression for each child. They will also discover different areas of the resort where they can practise MTB beyond the Bike Park of La Massana.

Pal Arinsal Bike Park is located in the Pal sector of the Pal Arinsal ski resort. The park itself is accessed by cable car from La Massana, the nearest town to the park and one of the seven parishes of the Principality of Andorra, situated at 1,240 m (4,000 ft) above sea level and with a population of around 10,300. If you’re driving to the Bike Park, take the CG-4 or CS-420 roads. Alternatively, you can also reach us via the Serra and Cubil chair lifts. The Cubil chair lift takes guests all the way up to an altitude of 2,350 metres (7,700 ft), the Bike Park’s very highest point. Lastly, the Arinsal cable car can also be used to access the park, albeit only during the summer months.
