PRAT DE L’AVELLANER PICNIC AREA, SANT JULIA DE LORIA
Location and contact
The Prat de l’Avellaner picnic area is one of many found next to the River Os and the CG6 road, although it can also be accessed on foot as part of a hiking route. In this case, it is the first you will find after the diversion from the CG1, the main entrance route into Andorra from Spain. This is a small recreational area next to the river, perfect for little ones and adults alike, thanks to its idyllic scenery, with steep, green valley walls. It sits at an altitude of 1,115 metres. It also has 1 table with seating attached.
As well as the Prat de l’Avellaner picnic area, other nearby rest areas include Prat de Senzill and Bixessarri. They are all well-equipped and located next to the CG6, which runs through Sant Julià de Lòria towards Spain, up the River Os.
Before visiting a picnic site, check its status at the tourist information office of the parish in question.
