If you are thinking of visiting the Vall de Sorteny Nature Park, the Canya de la Rabassa picnic area is the perfect base from which you can start your route. It is found next to the Information Point for this protected area and has all the facilities you need for a relaxing break in unbeatable surroundings.
The area boasts 3 barbecues and 5 fixed tables with seating, so that you can spend some quality time with your loved ones. It also has large bins, panels with information on the park and a drinking fountain, where you can fill up your canteen. Of course, there is also plenty of parking space, where you can leave your car during your break and your route. As well as the Canya de la Rabassa picnic area, there are other similar facilities in Ordino; Encodina is one of the closest.
Before visiting a picnic site, check its status at the tourist information office of the parish in question.
