The Menairons’ Forest, named after the tiny magical creatures you can discover there, is located near the village of Pal, in the parish of La Massana. The fun activities and games that take place along the route are the perfect way for children to interact with nature in a fun, respectful way, letting their imagination run free.

The activity is designed for children, accompanied by their families, to really dive into nature and, by following the instructions in the guidebook, to help the Menairons in carrying out their tasks. Once the route has been completed, a diploma certifying the children as “Macarulles” can be downloaded from the Visitandorra website.

The Menairons’ Forest route is ideal to be enjoyed in good weather, from mid-spring through to summer and autumn. It is also accessible in winter when snow covers the Menairons’ burrows; if you're visiting in the snow, make sure to bring the right equipment for the cold (snow boots or special snowshoes, ski poles and warm clothes) and always be mindful of the current weather conditions.

In the tourist offices you will find notebooks (1€) to use as you discover The Menairons’ Forest and other routes as a family.
One thing you’ll love about the Macarulla magic trails is that the game elements and the “hidden” surprises of the route have all been conceived and produced by local artists and craftsmen using quality, sustainable materials that are respectful of the natural environment, meaning they also integrate perfectly into the landscape.
