It is an easy half-day walk (4 hours).
It is not difficult to enter this wide and deep glacier. At the bottom of the valley we find deciduous forests and as we go up we will go into Scots pine woods and come across woody vegetables such as the hazelnut tree and viburnum. If we stop to listen, we will hear birds such as the white wagtail, the wren, the robin and the blue tit. As for the wildlife, the most common small mammals are squirrels and wood mice or bank voles which, though commonplace, are more difficult to see.
The parish of La Massana has an extension of 65 km2 and is located in the north-west of the principality. Mount Comapedrosa, at 2,942 metres, which gives its name to the nature park, is the highest mountain in the country, and in the summer it is also possible to do horse riding here. The guided excursions are done on Fridays at 9:15 a.m.
Time: 9.00 am.
Duration: 3 - 4 hours
Information and bookings: Tourist Office of La Massana / Park hut.
This activity is only available in July and August (both morning and afternoon departures).
