Route around the parish of La Massana on which we discover the Pal area, in the Pal Arinsal ski area. This route follows the asphalted road for the climb and easy downhill paths for the return to La Massana.

We start off from Plaça de les Fontetes de La Massana towards the village of Erts along the CG-4 road. Once we are in Erts, we take the left turn off the roundabout, towards Xixerella i Pal. Before reaching Pal, at km 5 from the beginning we leave the route by the bridge that we have on our the left, to avoid more asphalted stretches, until we pass the town of Pal. Once we return to the CG-4, we get a beautiful panoramic view of this town. From here, we keep going up the road, where we soon enter the Pal Arinsal ski area. We climb through the woods, which begin to thin out as we gain altitude, and reach the Coll de la Botella service building, and a metal sculpture in the form of a giant cup, with spectacular views over much of the Principality.

From this point, we leave the asphalt, and continue along the side track that takes us to Pla de la Cot, at the intermediate level of the Pal station. A pleasant track that crosses several ski runs. At km 16 of the route, and only for the hardiest, is the option of reaching the summit of Pic Cubil, following the track that is to our right (not marked on the GPS track). However, we can start the descent from this point, following the Commençal Superior track, or by the nearby jeep track, to Pla de la Caubella, where we can enjoy all kinds of catering and leisure services.

There are still a few up and downhill stretches before reaching La Massana, which we can enjoy going down the same track, Commencal Inferior, to the town of Escàs and later La Massana. Obviously, we can do this final part of the route by descending the CG-4 road, in the opposite direction to our earlier climb.
