Summer Nights at the Museums

Year after year, Summer Nights at the Museums offers a programme with an array of leisure and cultural activities suited for young and old alike.

Summer Nights (at the Museums) is back for another year with an extensive programme designed to take you closer to our country’s cultural heritage from different perspectives and disciplines. Emblematic urban and natural spaces, museums and other facilities become nocturnal stages full of surprises. Ranging from guided tours and historical re-enactments, open-air cinema events, and concerts held in the privacy of a lake or surrounded by historical vehicles, to escape games.

This summer there are over 50 nights for you to enjoy!

The programme opens with a night-time tour and astronomical observation at the Engolasters Hydroelectric Way (2 July) and ends on 18 September with the concert ‘Dialogues for Violin and Cello’, held in the courtyard of Casa Rossell, in Ordino.

There are also several guided tours that will enable you to discover diverse cultural facilities, with the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions currently open, including the Escaldes-Engordany Art Centre (CAEE), the Carmen Thyssen Museum and numerous churches, such as Sant Romà de les Bons, Santa Maria and Sant Romà de Vila in Encamp, as well as the church of Santa Coloma.

Of course, Summer Nights 2021 will also be offering outdoor film screenings, historical re-enactments and guided tours around Andorra la Vella, Santa Coloma and Escaldes-Engordany, as well as a visit to Casa Beal Winery, all activities that that have proven very popular in previous years.

Several activities are to be held at the Engolasters Hydroelectric Way and in the lake area, such as the guided tours and historical re-enactments, stargazing sessions and meteor shower viewing, as well as musical performances. This year there will also be an evening of dance in the Sanctuary of Meritxell.

Summer Nights 2021 offers all this and much more: a wide range of both free and paid activities to suit all ages and tastes.
