On the Night of Fire we spin the falles

The fire festival of Sant Joan and Sant Pere is back with a vengeance throughout the country. The summer solstice festival on the year's shortest night is the magical Night of Fire. On 23 June, following the collection of the Canigó Flame from Casa de la Vall, all the parishes – except Ordino, which does so for Sant Pere on 28 June – celebrate this traditional evening with the lighting of falles and bonfires in the streets and squares.

Canillo

9:00 p.m. The falles route starts in Plaça de Sant Serni, then goes down Carrer Callissa de Roda to Prat del Pi, where the bonfire is lit.

Encamp

At 10:30 p.m., in the Prat de l’Areny car park, burning of the "falles" and lighting of the Saint John’s bonfire. The Revetlla de Sant Joan (Saint John's Eve) festival coincides with the celebration of the Festa del Poble, the parish's patron saint festival, which takes place from 21 to 23 June.

Ordino

10:00 p.m. Lighting of the bonfire. Centre de Tecnificació sports centre car park.
10:15 p.m. Handing out of drinks and traditional "coca" cake.
10:30 p.m. Fireworks.

Burning of the Mai de Sant Pere (28 June)

12:00 p.m. Raising of the Mai de Sant Pere. Prat de Vilella car park.
10:30 p.m. "Fallaires d'Ordino" dance by the Esbart Valls del Nord folk dance group with live music from Trio Daura. Light show by the young fallaires with music from the Gralla pipers and drummers of the Castellers d'Andorra. Debut of the new fallaires with live music from Trio Daura. Start of the burning of the falles in the streets of the town with the bagpipes of Albert Adellach. Plaça Major.
11:00 p.m. "Sota la lluna de Sorteny" witches' dance by the Esbart Valls del Nord folk dance group. Young fallaires. Traditional falla. Lighting of the Mai and final burning of the falles. Prat de Vilella car park.
11:15 p.m. Dance with Duet Daura (Ivan Caro and Nina Planavila), with bar service. Prat de Vilella car park.

La Massana

10:00 p.m. "A night of fire, magic, stories and legends" with Carol Caubet in Plaça de l'Església.
10:30 p.m. Burning of falles. Start of the route up Carrer de les Escoles and Camí d'Escàs to the schools' car park with the participation of the Gralla pipers and drummers of Castellers d'Andorra and the Circ Riguel association. Witches’ dance with the Esbart Valls del Nord folk dance group. Final burning and lighting of the bonfire. Handing out of traditional "coca" cake to everyone.

Andorra la Vella

7:00 p.m. Collection of the Canigó Flame from Casa de la Vall by the representatives of the bonfires of Andorra. Tribute to the 2024 fallaires and handover to the new festival leaders: the Fallaire Major of the Valleys of Andorra and the Fallaire Menor of Andorra la Vella.
Organised by: Centre de la Cultura Catalana, the Association of Fallaires of Andorra la Vella and the National Board of Fallaires of Andorra, with the participation of the band of the Institute of Music.
10:30 p.m. Baptism of fire. Plaça del Puial.
10:45 p.m. Start of the young fallaires' route from Plaça del Puial through the streets of the historical centre of Andorra la Vella to Plaça Guillemó.
11:00 p.m. Start of the Andorra la Vella fallaires' route from Plaça del Puial through the streets of the historical centre of Andorra la Vella to Plaça Guillemó.
11:30 p.m. Final burning of falles and lighting of the bonfire. Plaça Guillemó.
11:45 p.m. Witches' dance by the Esbart Dansaire d'Andorra folk dance group. Plaça Guillemó.

Sant Julià de Lòria

From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Falles workshop with the fallaires and young fallaires of Sant Julià de Lòria in Plaça de la Germandat.

23 June

7:00 p.m. Collection of the Canigó Flame from Casa de la Vall and dance of the young fallaires of Sant Julià de Lòria.
8:00 p.m. Relay descent, running from Andorra la Vella to Plaça de la Germandat, with the Canigó Flame. Parade with the Canigó Flame and the fallaires, in two processions taking the following routes:
8:30 p.m. Start of the parade (route 1): Rocacorba neighbourhood, Av. Verge de Canòlich, Sports Centre, Carrer Dr. Palau, Carrer Casa Comuna, ending in Plaça de la Germandat.
8:35 p.m. Start of the parade (route 2): Plaça Francesc Cairat, Av. Verge de Canòlich, Carrer Dr. Palau, Carrer Casa Comuna, ending in Plaça de la Germandat. Performance in Plaça de la Germandat by the young fallaires of Sant Joan de Lòria and the adult fallaires, followed by a joint parade from Plaça de la Germandat along Av. Verge de Canòlich to Prat Gran Park.
12:00 a.m. Reading of the manifesto and lighting of the bonfire in Prat Gran Park.

Escaldes-Engordany

7:30 p.m. Baptism of fire for new and young fallaires. Burning of the traditional falla. Plaça Coprínceps.
10:00 p.m. Start of the route from Camí de la Peletera, via Plaça de la Creu Blanca and the church of Sant Pere Màrtir and down Avinguda Carlemany to the car park in Carrer dels Veedors, where the bonfire will be lit.
