The hiking route in one of the glacial circuses of the Incles valley is a popular walk for families. Medium difficulty.
The hiking route to Cabana Sorda Lake starts at km 1.5 of the road to the Incles Valley. The track climbs around the River of the Els Comellassos spring to go into the Pinosa Forest. We will carry on north east and go past the Fenefau hillside to zigzag up to the salt works of Cabana Sorda.
Then we will cross an alpine meadow to a mountain pass where there is a sign for Querol Lake and the Basses de les Salamandres; we will carry on northwards. We follow the river until we come to Cabana Sorda lake at 2,295m. A few metres from the lake there is the Cabana Sorda hut for up to 20 people.
The route starts at km 1.5 on the road to the Incles Valley, in the parish of Canillo (42° 35' 42",1° 40' 24" ).
For your safety, we recommend you do the routes at altitudes of over 1700 metres between the end of June and the end of September.
