The Centre opened in September 2004 with the aim of strengthening and improving the cultural resources of the parish.
The main objective of Andorra la Vella Council was to offer a lively space for creativity, reflection, learning, exchanges and participative activities.
With floor space of approximately 5,000 m2, the Cultural Centre houses Andorra la Vella's three artistic facilities: the Institute of Music, the School of Art and the School of Theatre and Dance. It is also home to the Citizen Participation Service and is the headquarters of several cultural organisations of public interest, such as the Esbart Dansaire, the Fallaires d'Andorra la Vella, the Gresca Gegantera and the Orfeó Andorrà.
The Centre offers two exhibition spaces, the vestibule and B'Art, which hold shows by the School of Art and other institutions that request to use them.
