The legal regulations throughout the Principality establish the prohibition of overnight stays and camping in motorhomes, caravans, campervans or any kind of van-type vehicle modified for travel and accommodation, outside of campsites, camping areas, and areas designated for motorhomes.

Overnight stays are understood to mean the parking of a motorhome, caravan, campervan or any van-type vehicle modified for travel and accommodation, with occupants, at night or during the hours determined by the regulations.

Camping is understood to mean in motorhomes, caravans, campervans or any type of van-type vehicle modified for travel and accommodation, when certain situations occur such as: if it is supported on the ground with elements in addition to the wheels (such as levelling ramps or stabilising legs), if accessories that modify its perimeter (awnings, folding windows, tables, chairs, etc.) are used, or if emissions, noise or waste beyond that of the engine are generated. These situations are only permitted in campsites or authorised camping areas, never in ordinary parking areas.
