6 km

Height difference

+200 m / -200 m

This 6 km mountain bike route with 200 m in elevation difference is of a low difficulty.

The Font de les Ordigues route in the parish of Escaldes-Engordany is one of the most recommended routes for families and mountain bike enthusiasts which doesn’t require riders to be really fit or have a high technical level.

You start the route at the Font de la Closa-Engolasters picnic and barbecue area, where you can continue enjoying the day on the mountain after your bike route in a perfectly equipped setting. This picnic area is located 4.5 km away from the CS200 road at an altitude of 1500 m. It also has a space where you can leave your vehicle at no extra cost.

As this is a circular route, this will be both the starting and finishing point, which will begin with a very gentle climb along the road to warm up. This initial stretch will take you to the communal car park at Camp de Serrat, where there is also a restaurant (at the Hotel Camp de Serrat) and a tourist information point which provides information on all the additional activities that can be carried out in the area, including the not to be missed visit to Lake Engolasters. You’ll get to see the lake along this trail as it continues along one of the “Camp del Serrat” recreational bike park trails that leads you up to the highest point of this route at an altitude of 1740 m. Then, after a slight descent, you will cross over a point along the road to enter the “Les Fonts Trail”, a popular route for keeping in shape that is shared with walkers; we therefore ask you to pay extra attention and to show respect on the mountain. Please reduce your speed and take extra care on this stretch shared with walkers and families.

After riding along 20 metres, you’ll find the beginning of the descent, pay attention here because after a few metres you’ll come to a crossroads where you’ll have to turn right (if you went straight ahead, you’d be on the black trail which implies a high difficulty route). If you continue along your route, you’ll share the descent with riders who are doing route 71, they will be climbing the hill, so once again we ask for caution on this shared two-way stretch.

Once you arrive to this point, all that remains is to finish the descent down the road to the picnic area and end your day with a nice picnic on the mountain, remembering to respect the safety and cleanliness standards at all times.

The route will take 40 minutes. Suitable for mountain biking and E-bikes.
