The Tomb de Puntal - Rialb - la Rabassa is a circular hiking route that starts and finishes almost at the same point. It starts in Puntal, on the road to Sorteny (CS-370 north of Ordino). From this car park, we walk down the road some 400m. Just before a house we will find at the foot of the road, we will see a sign indicating the Camí de Besalí, which we will follow. The path climbs through the forest to Besalí plain and then levels out north west to the Roc de Bruna Roja, the Comís Vell River and the Portella de Rialb, which will lead us through the valley of the same name to the river.

We continue our route parallel to the river Rialb until we can cross it on the bridge to the Rialb hut i la font Freda mountain hut. We continue down through the forest to la Pleta de la Rabassa and come back to the car park were we have left our vehicle.

The route starts 400 metres after Puntal car park on the CS-370 (42° 37' 31",1° 32' 47").

For your safety, we recommend you do the routes at altitudes of over 1,700 metres between the end of June and the end of September. However, if the weather and terrain conditions allow it, the season may extend from May to October.

You will find further details of this and other routes in the Hiking guide Trails of Andorra.
