The Government Exhibition Hall presents a solo show dedicated to Eulàlia Grau, one of the most powerful voices in contemporary conceptual and critical art. This exhibition highlights her ability to transform art into a tool for thought and protest, using a striking visual language that encourages social and political reflection.
Curated by journalist, art critic and cultural manager Ricard Planas Camps, the exhibition offers a broad view of the artist’s career from her early years to the present. It includes photography, collage, screen printing, books, posters and video works, with highlights such as the series Ethnographies, Discrimination Against Women and The Culture of Death, alongside recent audiovisual works that continue her critical and activist spirit.
Eulàlia Grau (Barcelona, 1946) is a Catalan artist known for her use of visual language as a means of social and political critique. Trained in design and architecture, she soon turned to the visual arts as a space for ideological expression. Active since the 1970s, her work is associated with feminism, anti-militarism, the denunciation of power abuse and social injustice.
