Turning on of the lights
1st December at 6 p.m., Encamp and Pas de la Casa open their Christmas events with the turning on of the lights. In Encamp, this will take place in Plaça dels Arínsols with a performance by Encamp singer Marta Dallerès. While in Pas de la Casa it will be held in the Church of Sant Pere and will feature the Encamp Rock Choir.
Santa Llúcia Fair
From 5th to 8th December, Plaça Sant Miquel d’Encamp will be hosting this traditional event. The fair’s programme includes stalls selling handicrafts and local products, a variety of musical performances, plus shows and workshops. To view the programme, click on this link.
Arrival of Father Christmas
In Encamp from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on 23rd December, and from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on 24th December, children will be able to give their letters to Father Christmas at Casa Cristo.
On Christmas Eve, the Father Christmas parade will start at 6 p.m.
- In Encamp he will do so accompanied by the travelling show "Le Bal" from the Remue Ménage Company. Arrival at Parc de l’Ossa.
- In Pas de la Casa, Father Christmas will arrive accompanied by a travelling show, which will end in the town's community hall. In both locations there will be pastries and chocolates handed out.
Midnight Mass
On Christmas Eve, the traditional midnight mass will take place in the church at Pas de la Casa at 7:30 pm and in Santa Eulàlia d'Encamp at midnight.
