Canillo Carnival

Canillo
13-02-2026 - 17-02-2026

Canillo Carnival is a traditional celebration whose most iconic figures are the harlequins, who bring life to every event with a vibrant presence that fills the streets with colour and joy.

In the early days of the festival, Canillo’s harlequins dressed in old two-piece pyjamas, preferably in light colours, decorated with patches and colourful flowers. They also wore coscolles tied around their ankles, adding sound with every step.

These characters have also inspired the parish’s pair of giant figures, two more than three metres tall, which have been part of the celebration since 2012 and have become another highlight of Canillo Carnival.
