Food in Andorra in summer is a treat for the senses

Andorra's cuisine is a real sensory experience, especially in summer, when you can try our best recipes in unbeatable settings. A great example of this are the outdoor terraces, often located in dreamy spots, with panoramic views of our valleys and mountains, perfect for enjoying the most delicious dishes. Summer is also a good time to book a table at a borde. Bordes are small mountain buildings that were traditionally used to store livestock and work tools, and have been converted into restaurants. Many are open all year round, but in summer the connection with nature is even more perfect.

Quality at affordable prices

Eating out on a budget in Andorra is possible all year round. Many of our restaurants are great value for money, whether because they have affordable à la carte and set menus or for other reasons, such as discounts for seniors and all-inclusive packages. You can check their prices, special offers and latest news on their official websites. For useful information about each restaurant, such as what services it offers, opening hours and contact details, please visit the relevant page on our website.

Our restaurants combine tradition and innovation, with attention to every detail of the recipes, the premises and the service. You can try local dishes from the Principality and the Pyrenees in general, such as trinxat de muntanya, made with winter cabbage, potatoes, garlic and bacon. The Principality’s own take on a hot pot, Escudella, Andorran-style cannelloni and game and fish dishes are other items on the menu at our restaurants throughout the year. However, if you prefer international cuisine, we also have AsianItalian and Mediterranean restaurants, to name a few. The selection is topped off, of course, with vegetarian restaurants for those who don't want to include meat in their diet.

These products are also available in shops, so you can take them home or enjoy them at any time. One example is Andorran horse or veal meat, which is produced under controlled regulations. We also produce aromatic plants and medicinal herbs for culinary use, as well as herbal teas such as mint, hyssop and wild thyme, among others. Our organic jams and condiments, such as Nectum, add a special touch to many dishes. And to wash it all down, the surprises continue with high-quality mountain wines and a traditional artisan liqueur: la Ratassia de la Carmeta.

Fascinating contrasts, served straight to your plate

Andorra's cuisine is full of contrasts that are reflected directly on your plate.
