On Sunday 8 March, the Pal sector of the Pal-Arinsal resort hosts the 9th edition of this popular women’s race, which counts towards the standings in ski mountaineering and snowshoeing, with both individual and team categories.

Created to mark International Women’s Day, the event aims to promote snow sports in a fun, participatory and open atmosphere, and has become a classic fixture in Andorra’s winter calendar.

Routes
The Women’s Skimo – Women’s Festival ski mountaineering race features a 4 km course with 432 m of positive elevation gain, starting at pla de la Caubella and finishing at pic del Cubil. The snowshoe race offers a 3.4 km course with 179 m of positive elevation gain, starting and finishing at pla de la Caubella. The Skimo race will count towards the MORABANC Andorra Cup in ski mountaineering (FAM).

Before and after the races, there will be various complementary activities, a charity lunch and a closing après-ski party. Part of the funds raised will go to Autea (Andorran Autism Spectrum Association).
