As every year during this season, Canillo becomes the setting for the birth of Jesus with a spectacular nativity scene made up of more than two hundred life-size figures arranged in around thirty scenes across the village.

Some of the most iconic points of the installation include Carlemany Promenade and the old town, with Sant Cerni Square at the top near the church, as well as the flour mill on Major Street. The Nativity scene itself is located in the church of Santa Creu, next to the old royal road of Prats.

The installation features the figures of the Three Wise Men, shepherds tending their flocks and farmers surrounded by tools and working and farm animals. You will also find, as in any nativity scene worthy of the name, the figure of the caganer discreetly hidden.
