The Comapedrosa Hut is at the foot of the highest peak in Andorra, between the Comapedrosa pass and the Estany de les Truites lake.
It has a capacity for up to 49 people. The Comapedrosa Mountain Hut (2,265m) is guarded from June to September and offers meals. To get there, you go by car to the car park of the Vallnord-Pal Arinsal ski resort slopes in the Arinsal sector. From here, you begin to climb the camí de l'Estany de les Truites (680 metre climb) for approximately 2 hours. This hut was opened in 1992, is guarded in the summer and has all services: bar, restaurant, shady areas, a radio transmitter for emergencies, electricity, wash basins and showers with hot water, fireplace, wood fire, area for cooking, bunks with quilts and telephone. There is also a mobile phone signal. The hut is not open in the winter because it is in an area of avalanches and it is not recommendable to go there without experience. It is also on a GR and queues of view of the Comapedrosa River waterfall which is really impressive in the spring, or the magnificent icefall that appears in the winter. A route of medium difficulty.
