The house of Areny-Plandolit is one of the most emblematic museums in Andorra.
It is the only example of a stately home in Andorra that has reached our days intact. The Casa d’Areny-Plandolit is in the centre of the village of Ordino. The family owes its social position to Don Guillem d’Areny-Plandolit, an illustrious figure in the history of Andorra, and his activities related to the iron industry.
The original building dates back to the 12th century and has been refurbished several times. The tour takes us to 19th and 20th-century Andorra and shows us different objects unique and exclusive to this family, the only family with nobility titles in the principality at a time when luxuries and comforts did not exist in Andorra. The Casa d’Areny-Plandolit forms part of the Andorra Rural Habitat Circuit
