One of Handel's most beautiful compositions is going to be performed in Plaça del Consell. In the summer of 1707, at the age of just 22, the composer wrote this piece in which Beauty is under the spell of Pleasure and believes that everything will remain the same until Time and Disillusion make Beauty see what life really is. With this piece we will make a reflection on fashion and appearances in a society in which image has become one of its most powerful weapons, and keeping up appearances, almost a religion. Performed by the Vespres d'Arnadí orchestra, the work's themes are still relevant to today's world and its compositions show the Baroque genius at his most inspired.
