On 18 October, Canillo holds its Livestock and Crafts Fair, an event that celebrates the parish’s farming roots and the value of traditional craftsmanship. From 9 am to 4 pm, the cable car promenade and Camping Pla will host the Livestock Fair, where you can see animals from the country’s livestock-farming families up close and discover a tradition that is part of the history of our valleys.
The day gets under way at 10.15 am with the official opening in front of the Casa Comuna (town hall). At 1.30 pm, at the former Camping Pla, gifts will be presented to the participating farming families in recognition of their work keeping livestock farming alive. To round off the day, at 5 pm, the church of Sant Serni will host the presentation of the book Carta d’un capellà jubilat als seus amics (A Retired Priest’s Letter to His Friends) by Father Ramon.
A day out for the whole family to stroll among craft stalls and experience Canillo’s rural culture first-hand.
