EXPLORE THE MOUNTAINS ON A GICAFER
Locatie en contact
This year, climb on to the Ordino Arcalís snowcat (Gica) with your loved ones and take in the natural scenery around you from a different point of view!
On your Gicafer adventure, you'll climb up the slope in total comfort. The Swedish caterpillar vehicle has two different climatized modules and a total capacity of 14 places.
Gica excursions are an hour long and ideal for young and old. They are always in the afternoon, from 6 p.m., once the slopes are closed. The vehicle picks up its passengers at the Hortell building, then heads to Pont Castellar, following a guided route to discover every nook and cranny of Arcalís. You'll see various areas of the Coma del Forat and pass through the Port del Rat tunnel (now illuminated) where you can marvel at all the ice stalactites and stalagmites.
However, the Gicafer has multimedia equipment to keep passengers in permanent contact with the driver-guide so there is no excuse for missing anything.
And at night…
If you’re left wanting more, don’t miss the chance to ride up to the La Borda de la Coma restaurant in Arcalís on the Gica snowcat. You'll enjoy both breathtaking night-time views of the valley and the resort’s best fondues and grilled meat!
