Andorra la Vella
25-08-2026

La Vuelta a España 2026 will once again place Andorra at the centre of international professional cycling with a stage held entirely on Andorran roads, on Tuesday 25 August.

Stage 4 of the Spanish Grand Tour will start and finish in Andorra la Vella, the capital of the Principality. From Avinguda Tarragona, the riders will head towards the Port d’Envalira -1st category climb and the highest paved mountain pass in the Pyrenees- passing through Encamp, Canillo and Soldeu. From Pas de la Casa, via the Envalira Tunnel, they will reach Encamp, where they will tackle the Collada de Beixalís (1st), crossing Aldosa to reach the village of Ordino, from where they will climb the Coll d’Ordino (1st) towards Canillo.

The final section of the stage will take the peloton to the entrance of Escaldes-Engordany, where they will take the road leading to the final challenge of the day, the Comella Pass (3st), before reaching the finish line located on Avinguda Tarragona in Andorra la Vella.

Once again, the presence of La Vuelta a España strengthens Andorra’s position as a leading destination for sports tourism, both mountain and road cycling, thanks to the quality of its infrastructure, its Pyrenean terrain and its experience in hosting major international sporting events.

La Vuelta is one of the three Grand Tours organised under the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), alongside the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France, and brings together the world’s top teams and riders every year.
