La Vuelta and Andorra are old friends. In fact, in the Principality we’ve seen days packed with excitement and adrenaline, and the stage that took place entirely in our country in 2019 is still fresh in fans’ memories.
This year, on 28 August we’ll get the chance to experience cycling at the highest level once again when Andorra forms part of the 3rd stage, which will set off from Súria (Catalunya) and finish at the Arinsal resort, part of Grandvalira Resorts. The finish line itself will be in the Comallemple area. The following day, the 4th stage will depart from Parc Central in Andorra la Vella and finish in Tarragona.
Andorra will offer cycling fans and followers one of the first high-mountain finishes in this edition of the race, which is one of the three major multi-stage cycle races on the world calendar of the International Cycling Union (UCI), together with the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France.
The Spanish race will set off from Port Olímpic in Barcelona on 26 August and conclude in Madrid on 17 September. The 78th edition of the Vuelta will be divided into 21 stages, two of which will run through the French Pyrenees, including a climb of the legendary Tourmalet.
