Although not physically connected, these two resorts joined their facilities, activities and services together to become one of the most complete snow and mountain destinations in the Pyrenees, with 93 kilometres of ski slopes.

Each resort conserves its own personality and attractions. As a result, skiers and snowboarders, families and groups of friends can all enjoy the slopes, activities, facilities and quality service at the domain.

Information on the resort

The large graph on the right shows you all the information related to the resort at a glance. You can see, for example, conditions of the slopes in Vallnord, broken down by their level of difficulty and sector. Another interesting feature is the webcam service: thanks to the images of the tabs below, you can take a look at the real-time situation in each of the resort's sectors. To view the weather forecast, you can check the official website of the resort.

Vallnord: slopes and sectors

Vallnord is actually made up of two different ski resorts, the Pal Arinsal resort and the Ordino Arcalís resort, which join the slopes in the valleys of La Massana and Ordino.

The Pal Arinsal resort has two sectors: Pal and Arinsal. It has 5 slalom slopes, 7 green runs, 19 blue, 17 red and 4 black. Both sectors are connected by cable car, although each has different access points. Ordino Arcalís, on the other hand, is one single sector. It has 6 slalom slopes, 9 green runs, 7 blue, 10 red and 2 black. Both stations open their doors in early December and close the season in late April.

Ski pass and services in Vallnord

As for the entry types and packages, there are several options in Vallnord: the Pal Arinsal ski pass, the Ordino Arcalís ski pass and the Vallnord ski pass. As you’ll have noticed, there’s a specific pass for each resort and another that allows skiers to go to all the resorts in Vallnord for a minimum two-day stay. Prices vary according to the user’s age and the number of days, with discounts for children and for longer periods. Another interesting option are the joint packages that allow skiers to benefit from special prices on other services related to the resort, mainly the Ski pass + Hotel option.

All sectors of Vallnord offer skiers a wide range of services. There are schools, for instance, that offer courses for all levels with different durations, from one day or a weekend to season-long courses. Of course, there are also shops for renting and buying equipment. As for the cuisine and leisure on offer, all sites have a cafeteria/restaurant with a terrace and children's play areas, a crèche, Wi-Fi areas and an intensive programme of activities for non-skiers. Options for those who’d rather not don their skis include snowmobile excursions and a ride on the cable car in La Massana.
