As for the other variants of the Tomb Lauredià route (short and long), the start and end point for the medium route is Plaça de la Germandat (42° 27’ 54.7128”, 1° 29’ 27.96”), in the heart of Sant Julià de Lòria. The 8-km circuit will take you to the villages of Auvinyà and Aixirivall. The route covers a pronounced uphill section up to Aixirivall, where you’ll find the Church of Sant Pere, continuing onwards up to the Romanesque Church of Sant Serni de Nagol.  This is one of the outstanding examples of Andorran cultural heritage. From this point, the highest on the route, you can take in amazing bird’s-eye views of the valley, with Sant Julià de Lòria at the bottom. The return journey passes through Aixovall and along the River Valira.

The medium Tomb Lauredià route runs along different types of trails, always signposted with the ‘Tomb Lauredià Mitjà’ emblem.  It has a considerable elevation change (+/- 680 m) that does not entail any technical difficulty. Whether with friends or as a family, to complete this route it is recommended for those with experience in doing medium-difficulty mountain routes.

A community hike along the Tomb Lauredià route takes place every year in Sant Julià de Lòria.

For your safety, we recommend doing all routes above 1,700 metres between the end of June and the end of September. However, if the weather and terrain conditions allow it, the season may extend from May to October.

You’ll find other routes to do in the Trails of Andorra Hiking Guide.
