If we go on to the peak, we fins examples of such exceptional flora as water-crowfoot from glaciers and saxifraga.

During the excursion we will hear the song of the blue tits and be able to see the crossbill with its characteristic beak. When we reach the open areas of the Pleta de Llomar, early in the morning we can watch the chamois in the gulleys. In the higher areas we might find the rock ptarmigan, the red or yellow-billed choughs and at the top, the bearded vultures and the golden eagle might make an appearance.

The Sorteny Valley Nature Park in the parish of Ordino, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO since October 2020, is a botanical paradise with over 800 species of flowers and plants, some unique to the Pyrenees. On all the routes, we have the chance to visit the botanical gardens.
