“The Mischievous World of Llimoi” is one of the routes around the small magical Macarulla paths and is located in the forest of La Rabassa, in Sant Julià de Lòria. The route is designed for families with children aged between 4 and 12 years old who want to discover hiking through games and activities centred around the world of mischief and the importance of laughter and growing up with a good sense of humour.
You will meet Llimoi Carnús, a small, mischievous but charming demon who has only one mission: to make everyone laugh! But, to achieve this, he must find true masters of mischief, those able to make it through the jokes and pranks he himself has set out along the way.
The route is circular and runs along signposted and safe paths. The starting point is in the area of Font de Comabella, at kilometre 5.99 of the CS-130 road in La Rabassa, a short distance from Naturland 1600 and the Juberri Gardens. At the end of the route, you can extend the walk along the forest track until you reach the Oratori de Sant Cristòfol and say hello to Tamarro Lau, which watches over the forest of La Rabassa.
The proximity of the route to Naturland is ideal to complement the day with adventure activities like the Tobotronc or Airtrekk, as well as enjoying a good meal in the restaurant services in the centre. You can also visit the La Plana viewpoints or the Runer River, or stroll through the Juberri Gardens, very close to the road back to the centre of Sant Julià de Lòria.
Once the route has been completed, a diploma certifying the children as “Macarulles” can be downloaded from the Visitandorra website.
In the tourist offices you will find activity books (€1) to discover "The Mischievous World of Llimoi" and other routes as a family. One thing you’ll love about the magic trails is that the activities and the hidden surprises of the route have all been conceived and designed by local artists and craftsmen using quality, sustainable materials that are respectful of the natural environment, meaning they also integrate perfectly into the landscape.
The Macarulla routes pass through mountain paths, so it is important to be well equipped with appropriate clothing and footwear, and take the necessary precautions, especially for the safety of the little ones.
