Baked apples

Few recipes require less preparation and are as tasty as baked apples. There are more than 7,500 varieties of apples in the world. Originally from Central Asia, they are one of the most cultivated fruits on the planet. It is also one of those with the most symbolic connotations, be they religious (creation), popular (Newton) or advertising (Apple) just to mention a few.

Composed of 85% water, they do not contain protein or fat, only carbohydrates and fibre.  Raw apple stimulates intestinal transit and, when cooked, protects the stomach and intestines. Baked, you don't even have to peel it because the pulp and skin separate naturally. Apart from that, if you like, the skin of the apple can also be eaten.
When making them, some people add muscat wine and sugar before baking them. It is a matter of taste.
