Illa Carlemany

Illa Carlemany, a unique building designed by the architect Pere Aixàs, has been open since the summer of 2009, with a total floor area of 50,000 m^2.. It has 4 levels of commercial establishments and 3 underground parking levels. It is located in the country’s most important commercial hubs, right on Av. Carlemany (Vivand) in Escaldes-Engordany and on Av. Meritxell in Andorra la Vella. You can access the shopping centre through any of its 4 street entrances or through the underground car park with 600 spaces.

The shopping centre includes a wide range of shops specialising in high-quality, well-known brand-name products, where you'll find fashion for adults and children, footwear, sportswear, jewellery and watches, technology, decoration and household goods, perfumery and cosmetics, bookshops and a variety of accessories.

Eating at Illa Carlemany

The shopping centre has different spaces and proposals for any time of the day. From a coffee with milk or a sandwich to a meal. Spread over two floors, on the upper floor you'll find Burger King, Pizza Roma, Foster's Hollywood, Pans&Company and Café Pans, My Corner and the Buvette patisserie.
On the ground floor you can enjoy tapas at Dehesa Santa María, taste the gastronomic specialities of the Bistrot, decorated in Parisian style, or have a coffee at Starbucks.

Leisure and entertainment

If you want to take a break from shopping, at this large shopping centre, you can watch a film at one of its 5 modern cinemas—2 of which are 3D. Enjoy the latest releases and be sure to stop by illa dolça to load up on sweeties, popcorn and refreshments to make the experience even better.

You can also join the Next Health Club, the gym at Illa Carlemany and try the recently opened spa. Or if you care for a hairdressing session instead, you can make an appointment at Franck Provost, which is found on the second level of Illa Carlemany. They not only offer hair styling services, they also offer aesthetic services such as laser hair removal treatments or gel manicures, among others.

Health and nutrition

At Illa Carlemany, you can find Farmacia and Galeno Salud, where you can buy all the health and pharmacy products that you may need and where you can receive care in case of emergency.

Caprabo, located on the ground level, is another place that’s worth checking out. It’s a supermarket that has: a butcher’s and fish market with the freshest products, a section with the best fruits and vegetables and the area where all kinds of food, beverage and household products are found.

If you’re mad about freshly made sushi, you’ll find a small stand inside the supermarket which makes it.

Practical information

Illa Carlemany also has facilities such as Enet, which offers car washing services right on the first parking level. You will also find: If Rent, a car hire agency, Mister Minit, specialising in shoe repair and key cutting, and Nuria Tintorería, which offers laundry and ironing services. You will also find La Retoucherie de Manuela, a clothing repair and alteration service, and a cash machine found next to one of the shopping centre entrances.

The building has 2 public toilets—one on the ground level and another one on the second level—, as well as a dedicated nursing room for those who need it. As free Wi-Fi is available throughout the shopping centre, you can easily connect all your devices to it.

Pets are allowed at Illa Carlemany as long as they are leashed and accompanied by their owners at all times.
