Growing grapes at 1,190 metres above sea level gives them a unique flavour.

Borda Sabaté believes in a job well done, working the vineyards using biodynamic organic farming practices. Under the guidance of winemaker Alain Graillot, they currently produce the aforementioned white wine Escol and a red wine known as Torb.

The work and commitment of the Borda Sabaté cellar has been rewarded with the CERVIM 2019 prize, naming Escol 2010 as the best extreme white wine in the world of that vintage. At the same event, the Torb 2015 was also awarded a gold medal.

CERVIM is a research, protection, coordination and enhancement centre for mountain wine growing created by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), based in the Aosta Valley in Italy. The centre's international extreme wines competition takes place every two years.

Borda Sabaté's vines are situated on the sunny slopes of La Muxella, a natural location that rewards visitors with stunning views of the entire valley.

As a wine tourism pioneer, it offers various guided tour options around the vineyard or the cellar. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings before buying some to take home with them. Wine tasting can also be accompanied by a meal from the Le Domaine restaurant in the same vineyard, with their delicious menu including mountain rice dishes and other specialities of the local cuisine.

Enjoy a surprising and unforgettable experience at Borda Sabaté!
