Andorra by National Geographic, a shared look at the country

Natural Andorra
Exploring nature with the passing of the seasons

Through the eyes of explorer Jaime Rojo, this project invites you to discover Andorran nature through its animal species and the transformation of its landscape, following the changing of the seasons throughout the year.

Winter, spring, summer and autumn show how the fauna and flora change, adapt and interact with the natural environment, revealing many great treasures, often not visible at first glance.

The place where ideas grow
Thinking about the relationship between people and the land

In this second collaboration, Andorra is shown as a territory where tourism, human activity and the landscape coexist and influence one another. Based on this relationship, the project, bringing together local professionals, academics and international experts, opens a space for analysis and reflection on the topics of sport, with Xary Rodriguez, wellbeing, with Marta Rosinach, and premium tourism, with Josep Areny.

All of this is articulated through three personal perspectives closely linked to the mountains of Andorra, which tell stories about being active, looking after yourself and mindfully living in the mountains.

UNESCO Natural, Cultural and Intangible Heritage
Understanding the landscape through heritage

This third project delves into the parts of Andorra's heritage that are recognised by UNESCO, such as the falles of the summer solstice and the Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley, as well as the Ordino valley, a Biosphere Reserve.

Popular celebrations, ancient paths and valleys shaped by centuries of human activity are placed in the limelight to highlight a legacy that gives meaning to the way we live in the country, visit it and imagine the future.
