Location

The riding school, known locally as Club Hípic l'Aldosa, sits in the heart of the Pyrenees mountains in La Massana, at an elevation of 1250 metres. The fantastic mountainous location means that every horse riding excursion delivers awe-inspiring views.

Activities for riding horse in Andorra

The l’Aldosa Horse Club has a riding school with classes for beginners, as well as other activities for both tourists and locals. They organise a variety of treks and excursions of varying duration and difficulty. Their mixed-breed Spanish riding horses come in many sizes and colours, but all are specially selected for their character and suitability for life in the mountains.

Beginners’ sessions

These introductory classes cater for both adults and children and last between 30 minutes and one hour. No previous riding experience is required. Children aged 6 to 9 will be given a pony to ride.

Horse riding training

If you want to improve your riding skills, the professional team at l’Aldosa Horse Club has the expertise to train you for competitions, including jumping and obstacles.

1-hour ride around La Massana

This route takes you through the peatlands and borders of Giberga and is particularly suited for those with little or no horse riding experience. Because the route can be done on horse or pony, the whole family can join in, including youngsters.

2-hour ride around Anyós

Ascend along a sun-kissed path, with a gallop of more than 1 kilometre. You’ll return along the border of the old hamlet of Els Cortals, marvelling at the spectacular views along the way. This trip is ideal for riders of an intermediate level who are proficient in galloping.

Guided excursions riding horse in Comapedrosa Natural Park

Throughout the summer, l’Aldosa Horse Club offers daily guided walks for all experience levels and ages. The route takes in rocky outcrops, fir and pine woods, crystal-clear streams, and pathways that are home to narcissus and lizards. Seeing the scenery of Comapedrosa on horseback makes for a truly memorable experience.
The club also offers horse trekking excursions and orientations throughout the ski area of Pal and La Massana, at more than 2,000 metres altitude.

Large groups

For many, horse riding in the Pyrenees is a magical, once-in-a-lifetime event. This is why businesses, schools and other organisations are invited to plan a horse riding excursion as a team-building activity or educational trip. You can even combine horse riding with other exciting outdoor activities such as archery.

Horse riding holidays

When one day isn’t enough, real horse-lovers can book a whole week of fun and exploration on horseback. Riders are required to have the ability to walk, trot and canter in open spaces, and your group should be between 4 and 8 people.

You can arrange horse riding holidays in Andorra that last from 5 to 6 days. They include a variety of routes so you’ll get to enjoy forest bridal paths, mountain trails, and some riding off-track.
