There are 30 mountain refuges that have been specially adapted to meet every hiker's need. They are all accessible on foot, and although some are less than an hour's walk away, the majority are in locations that are difficult to access.

However, they all boast a privileged location offering spectacular views across the valleys of the Principality.

The 30 refuges are fully equipped and open all year round, although only the ones at Comapedrosa, Sorteny, Cortals de Sispony, Incles and Juclà are staffed. Some of the most outstanding refuges include Fontverd, Cabana Sorda and La Portella.

More information about our refuges can be found in our Refuges and the E-Path hiking map for Andorra

Refuge passport

If you’re thinking about hiking to or visiting all the mountain refuges in Andorra, make sure you get your refuge passport first! Just stamp your passport at every refuge you visit. Once you’ve stamped all the boxes, present your passport at the Andorra la Vella tourist office, where you’ll not only be given a certificate of achievement, you’ll also receive a small gift as a reward for your effort and determination!

You can get your refuge passport free of charge from any of our tourist offices.
