The path follows the river Ensagents through a pretty alpine area views of the crests of la Coma dels Llops and el Gargantillar.
We start at the Borda del Tresà, in the parish of Encamp, where we see a path marked with three yellow spots going up through the forest of mountain pine. We immediately come to a clearing and the La Clau pass and the paths cross. We carry on up the path on the left and go into the forest. On our way we will pass alpine meadows where it is easy to see the activity of the wild boars during the night, and, as for the flora, the main specimens are orchids and cotton plants.
We later zigzag across a scree to Ensagents mountain hut. From this point we will continue north east to Ensagents Lake.
The route starts at the Borda del Tresà, after the Church of Sant Jaume dels Cortals (42° 31' 55",1° 36' 31").
For your safety, we recommend you do the routes at altitudes of over 1,700 metres between the end of June and the end of September. However, if the weather and terrain conditions allow it, the season may extend from May to October.
