If you are a chocolate lover, don’t miss out on trying the gourmet delicacies of Xocland! Located in the centre of the town of La Massana, Xocland is the Principality of Andorra's first bean-to-bar chocolate factory.
Xocland is no typical factory, as it combines two very different activities in the same place. Not only can you see the process of how the chocolate is made (the machines used, cocoa bean roasting, etc.), but you can also try and buy the products. There’s small area where you can sample different chocolates!
Xocland has specialised for many years in the world of chocolate and uses ingredients only of the highest quality, including the best cocoa beans from tropical countries like Nicaragua, Venezuela, etc, to ensure their products are of the quality that has come to be expected of them.
You’ll find a wide range of products ranging from the more intense chocolate made with 90% or 70% cocoa, milk chocolate, or, if you prefer, white chocolate. Don’t miss out on yours!
Lastly, Xocland also makes sweets, truffles, pralines, turrons and hot chocolate to take away as well as one of the specialities of the house, Xoca, a combination of several chocolates with biscuits, fruit and an endless list of other ingredients.
If you would like to discover the secrets of one of the best chocolates in the country, every Saturday at midday, Xocland offers a guided tour where you can find out all about how the chocolates are made. But it doesn’t end there, after the visit you will enjoy a succulent tasting of various types of chocolates.
The shop is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Guided tours need to be booked in advance, on Saturdays at midday for smaller groups of 6-7 people.
