Nature at 1,200 metres expressing itself in the form of wine
The Casa Auvinyà Winery is based in the village of Auvinyà, on the southern slopes of the Principality of Andorra in the parish of Sant Julià de Lòria. The vineyards stand at an altitude of 1,200 m and a latitude of 42º27'11.5'', in the mountainous area close to the forest of La Rabassa.
Managed by the Tor family, Casa Auvinyà started its journey in 2005, driven by a desire to produce high-quality wines while respecting the demands of the land. Its history began in 2005-2010 when it developed a research plan on vine cultivation and the production of quality wine in the Andorran Pyrenees.
Casa Auvinyà's vineyards cover 2 hectares of land and are distributed in five different plots organised by varieties on terraces and on steep slopes with gradients of 40% to 60%, facing west. Therefore, the main characteristics of the terrain are the steep slopes without terraces, the shale and slate soils, a harsh mountain climate and rich biodiversity in the environment where pinot gris, pinot noir, syrah, viognier and albariño grapes grow.
The result of this dedication are unique, elegant and daring wines that break with tradition: EVOLUCIÓ I FORAPISTA is the single varietal red wine and IMAGINE is the snow white wine, a coupage of viognier 50% pinot gris 45% and albariño 5%. All the wines are certified with the Andorran Government's official VINS D'ANDORRA seal of control and guarantee.
The Casa Auvinyà Winery organises wine tourism activities with guided tours and wine tastings with prior reservation.
Let yourself be amazed by the magic of the vines!
