See the sculptures and centenary fountains that Encamp hides in its streets.  These are examples that will show you how the most ancestral traditions of the country have withstood the passing of time.

  • The sculpture of the reaper:

From 2007 and the work of sculptor Àngel Calvente, this represents the ancient reapers of the valleys, with the scythe and the grindstone hanging on the belt. The place chosen for the sculpture was not random, for this is where the men and women of yesteryear spent long days reaping the surrounding meadows.

  • Lloc pagà’ sculpture:

The ‘Lloc pagà’, or pagan place, sculpture is by Michael Warren, who for the 25th anniversary of the Caixa Andorrana de la Seguretat Social hid three long and majestic totems, as well as a piece recalling a baptismal pyre, amidst the vegetation turned over by the human presence.

  • Tremat fountain:

A fountain with the shield of Andorra and a chamois, a typical animal of Andorra and the mountains, on the front.

  • Les Bons spring:

A spring which draws water from the Les Bons stream.  This was formerly a place where the animals drank when they came down from the hard days’ work on the surrounding terraces and meadows.
