If you’d like to see marmots in their habitat at the same time as having an incredible off-road experience, then Aventura 4x4 is for you! Thanks to their experience in driving all-terrain vehicles and professionalism in mountain guiding, you’ll not only discover Andorra’s lakes and trails, you’ll also be able to see one of the latest additions to Andorra: the marmot!
Lakes and marmots in 4x4
Lakes and marmots in 4x4 is definitely Aventura 4x4’s top itinerary: you’ll cover forest trails, climbing in an all-terrain vehicle until reaching the Llac del Cubil lake at 2,265 m above sea level. Once there, you’ll go up to the Enradort saddle, located at over 2,400 metres above sea level, where you’ll enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the Pyrenees!
Finally, you’ll descend through the middle of the mountains towards Pessons, crossing the wildest forests of Grau Roig until reaching the first lake. After arriving, you’ll stop at the terrace of the Refugi del Llac de Pessons restaurant to have a little snack and recharge for the return journey. In addition, if you’d like a more foodie experience, you can also request to have lunch included in your excursion!
Finally, during the tour you’ll not only enjoy explanations from the specialist guide, you’ll also be stopping at strategic spots that will allow you to see the marmots in their environment, without having to get out of the vehicle.
Recommendations and other details:
Due to the altitude of the tour and the points to be visited, it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing and a jacket, as well as mountain-appropriate footwear. Accessories such as sunglasses, sun cream and a hat will also be essential!
The tours will always be done in all-terrain vehicles: Andorra 4x4 has a large fleet of vehicles including the famous Unimog, a vehicle that specialises in mountain routes, with space for 21 passengers and panoramic windows so you’ll be able to see every last detail!
