NIGHT-TIME ACTIVITIES AT VALLNORD-PAL ARINSAL
Location and contact
At Vallnord-Pal Arinsal the days are longer, thanks to the range of night-time activities the sector has to offer. There are a number of different options and ways to enjoy the snow at night – some of them quite unusual!
Take dinnertime to new heights!
A laid-back option is yoga at an altitude of 2,200 metres, at Coll de la Botella restaurant, comprising a one-hour class of Kundalini yoga followed by a healthy, organic dinner. The classes are held on certain days during the ski season and run from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., with dinner being served at 9:00 p.m.
As if all this weren’t enough, Vallnord-Pal Arinsal also offers delicious dinners under the stars, like the “dinners under the full moon” at Pla de la Cot, or you can even try the delicious dishes on the menu at the Xalet Igloo restaurant in the Arinsal sector.
To get to the restaurants, you can go up on a snowcat or, if you’re feeling even more adventurous, via a snowshoe or skimo route! You’ll not only delight in a delicious dinner, you’ll also have the experience of enjoying the slopes under the starlight. In addition, if you go up along the Camí de la Serra, either walking or on snowshoes, you’ll find that the mountain path is fully lit!
Snowcat or Snow Cabine?
As we mentioned above, one of the most common ways to get to the restaurants is on a snowcat excursion. Choose between the Snow Cabine, a heated enclosed vehicle where you travel seated in the back part of the vehicle while enjoying the ride (the cabin has space for around 20 people), or, if you’re looking for more of an adrenaline rush, then the snowcat excursion is for you: you’ll travel in the co-driver’s seat, while watching in the deepest darkness how the slopes are prepared to leave them smooth and perfect for the following day!
On the other hand, if you just want to go for dinner on the slopes, you can also reach the Coll de la Botella restaurant by car, if you prefer: take the CG-4 road until you arrive at Coll de la Botella.
