We begin the route at the La Comella Roundabout, at the National Bus Station. The first few metres are on asphalt, in full ascent, until turning to the left to quickly find the path indicated with two yellow markers and a vertical sign.

Following a gradual slope we will gain altitude by zig-zagging until reaching the La Comella picnic area, where there is a fountain, we carefully cross the road to continue along the path, always climbing, until nearly reaching Borda de la Plana, where we will find a vertical sign and a path to our right, which we will follow.

From here onwards the climb is steeper, always following the well-beaten track in the middle of the forest, with the occasional flat section. This will take us to Collada de la Caülla, the highest point on the route, from which there are breathtaking views of the border.

We then commence a fast descent, first through pastures and then into the forest, until we find the signs for the GR7, alongside some bordes. Here we take a right into a short but steep climb that takes us to Collada de Palomera. From here we change direction and follow a quick final descent, which, without and danger of getting lost and always along the well-used track, will take us back to Andorra la Vella.
