Its category is grade 1a (difficult). The route has an average positive gradient of 8.2% with a difference in level of 574 metres over a distance of 7 kilometres. This is a short climb, but a very demanding one. It is here where the cyclist Leonardo Piepoli was proclaimed the winner of the stage of the Volta a Catalunya in 2005. Almost at the end of the Pass we find the Comapedrosa Commune Nature Park, with the highest peak in Andorra, the Pic del Comapedrosa (2,942 metres).
