Guided Ecotourism route: Tomb de les Neres

Guided ecotourism: tomb de les neres

The name comes from the word “negres” which was formerly used to refer to witches, and mystery is guaranteed along this 8 km path which passes through the woods and meadows that link the parishes of Canillo, Encamp, Ordino and Massana. The route takes about 3 hours, and allows you to explore 4 different forests, such La Tosa, which is great for mushroom picking and also has a spring, or La Plana, where the woodland is denser and you soon find yourself surrounded by towering pine and birch trees. Further on, you'll come to Coll de Ordino forest, where the fir trees grow up to 24 m (80 feet) tall.

This route also has information panels, as well as fabulous views towards Casamanya Peak and the start of a path leading up to the peak.
