This valley is dominated by a mountain pine forest and by the juniper. Heather, alpen rose and whortleberry cover part of the undergrowth. In the sunnier areas we find the thorny broom. In terms of flowers, we find all kinds of alpine flowers such as gentian, lily of the Pyrenees, yarrow, yellow bedstraw, etc. The Coma de Ransol is inhabited by different species of mammals such as wild boar, roe deer, chamois, squirrels, pine martens, hares and, of course, marmots. The birds are also present: goshawk, crested tit, goldcrest, chaffinch, etc.
