From skiing to cycling, museums and nature to golf, Romanesque churches to gondola lift… La Massana is waiting for you all year round. Find out about it here!

La Massana parish is at the peak, in every sense of the word, from the quality of its services to its geographical location, as the ceiling of Andorra—the 2,942m high Comapedrosa—is within its territory. But the area is also steeped in history, with many of its customs and traditions still alive today, some with museums especially about them, as we'll see below. Here we describe the highlights of this parish, including its high quality infrastructure, such as the La Massana gondola lift, to help make visiting the main sights so much easier.

Sports in Vallnord, with the gondola lift in La Massana and Arinsal

La Massana, which shares a border with Ordino, Encamp, Andorra la Vella, Spain and France, is synonymous with sports all year round, thanks to Vallnord. Most of the slopes of this ski resort are in the parish, specifically, the Pal and Arinsal sectors. In winter, both the La Massana and Arinsal gondola lifts will take you to the 43 skiable slopes of all levels. Snowboarding, freeriding and cross-country skiing are other disciplines that sports lovers can try at La Massana.

In summer, the activities leave the snow behind and enter the exuberant verdant forests of the parish. Vallnord becomes a Mountain and Bike Park, full of adventure and excitement. And beyond the confines of these facilities, all kinds of activities are available: hiking, canyoning, climbing, cycling, horse-riding and much more. Many of these fascinating routes are in the Valls del Comapedrosa Nature Park, in the western most part of the parish. And for people who wish to enjoy panoramic views without breaking a sweat, there's the gondola lift in La Massana or the one in Arinsal to take them there.
