In the glowing intimacy of the Church of Sant Corneli and Sant Cebrià, this concert proposes a delicate and contemplative sound journey through the repertoire for piano for four hands, a genre that turns musical dialogue into a gesture of understanding and shared breathing space.
Claude Debussy's Petite Suite opens the door to a universe of transparencies and subtle movements, where the music flows like streams of light and suggests landscapes of almost impressionistic poetry. Sixteen Waltzes, Op. 39 by Johannes Brahms transports us to the warm and intimate atmosphere of an evening at home, full of elegance, nostalgia and humanity, in which each phrase becomes a musical caress.
The programme culminates with the great Fantasia in F minor, D.940 by Franz Schubert, one of the most profound and moving works in the repertoire for four hands: a song dedicated to freedom and imagination that, with its free form and lyrical spirit, becomes a refuge and space for the listener's dreams.
Performed by Isabel Fèlix and Míriam Manubens – whose careers share a feeling of sensitivity, rigour and love for sound – this concert is also a musical and human encounter. Like a garden that slowly unfurls over time, music invites us to listen as themes emerge, transform and merge into a single voice.
A midday concert designed to stop time so that you can be enveloped by light, ancient stone and music.
